This circuit invites you to discover a part of the rich heritage of the village of Auberive, which is as natural as it is historic.
Your walk will lead you to discover the magnificent monastery, the old and rich Cistercian abbey. Auberive was founded in 1135 on the banks of the Aube by Saint Bernard and the bishop of Langres, Villain d'Aigrement, with the support of the nearby lords (Grancey, Champlitte, Rochetaillée and their vassals). Another stop that is not to be missed is the passage through the spot known as between two waters', which, as you will see, is aptly named...
Lastly, don't miss the Griselin bridge, which this circuit is named after. You will pass through a section of the national forest.
This circuit, although not very long, will draw you in with all the rich heritage that you will encounter.
