Circuit des fontaines de Montigny-le-Roi (extrait)Mention obligatoire pour toute utilisation : © http://randonnee.tourisme-langres.com

The fountains, which are elements of the rural heritage, were mostly built in the 19th century and restored in 2003. The construction of a public fountain was a subject of particular concern at the time, as it was a sign of progress and helped fulfil an everyday need. There are at least 10 in Montigny Le Roi. This inner-city route will familiarise you with the different watering holes that fed the villagers over the last few centuries and will teach you about two famous children from Montigny: the Flammarion brothers.
